Employee Wealth-Building Resources

Providing your employees full access to available public benefits can improve their family income. TRF Private Equity offers the following services to help your employees:

  • Tax Assistance — We provide free tax filing assistance to your low-income employees, especially those who are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit.

  • Public Benefits — We can help provide information on public benefits for eligible recipients. Share information with your employees on underutilized public benefits, such as food stamps, childcare subsidies, and health care coverage for both children and adults. We have also partnered with agencies that can provide your company with consulting services and on-site informational seminars on public benefits. These agencies can also provide you with informational folders on the subject for distribution to your employees. 

  • Financial Literacy — Provide your employees with financial literacy courses called Money SMART. Through this course, you can help your employees learn how to best manage their money. The Money SMART curriculum consists of modules that were designed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), on the following topics:

    • Check it Out – how to choose and keep a checking account.

    • Money Matters – how to keep track of your money.

    • Pay Yourself First – why you should save, save, save.

    • Borrowing Basics – an introduction to credit.

    • To Your Credit – how your credit history will affect your credit future.

    • Charge it Right – how to make a credit card work for you.
